Purpose
Collaborate with the John Deere Training Organization to deliver certified classes at Tri County Equipment locations. Your goal is to train dealer personnel and customers, ensuring everyone gains valuable skills and knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Get Certified: Complete John Deere certification before delivering any training courses.
- Logistics Coordination: Organize all on-site logistics for training courses, including necessary equipment, materials, and classroom setup ahead of time.
- Deliver Training: Conduct training sessions as outlined in the Leaders Guide, providing clear and effective instruction.
- Maintain Quality: Ensure classes meet the same instructional quality, content, infrastructure, and safety standards as those provided by the John Deere training organization.
- Report Results: Share training event outcomes and attendance records with the John Deere training department.
- Restore Environment: Clean up and return the learning space to its original condition after training sessions.
- Ensure Attendance: Monitor student participation to ensure full attendance throughout the class.
- Stay Current: Keep up with new products and technology, tailoring material to fit your audience’s needs.
- Coordinate Training: Schedule and organize all in-house training.
- Participate in Development: Engage in Service EDUCATE Training programs to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Maintain Equipment: Operate and maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment required for your responsibilities.
- Uphold Cleanliness: Maintain a clean work area and perform tasks in an orderly manner.
- Follow Safety Protocols: Adhere to all safety regulations in your work assignments.
- Stay Informed: Keep your knowledge up to date on John Deere and competitive products.
Experience, Education, Skills, and Knowledge
- Experience Required: 3+ years of service/repair experience with a record of meeting performance metrics is preferred.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in off-road, construction, lawn, or heavy equipment.
- Practical Skills: Experience operating vehicles, tools, and equipment for training purposes.
- Computer Proficiency: Basic computer skills; experience with Service ADVISOR™ or similar diagnostic tools is a plus.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is required; an Associate’s degree is preferred.
- Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license is required; a CDL
