Position Overview: As a Delivery Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and safe delivery of lawn and garden equipment to our customers. You will be responsible for loading, transporting, and unloading equipment while providing outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate delivery vehicles, including trucks and vans, to transport equipment to customer locations.
- Load and unload equipment using appropriate tools and techniques, ensuring the safety of both the equipment and the delivery team.
- Follow established routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery of products to customers.
- Provide exceptional customer service, including answering questions, addressing concerns, and providing product demonstrations when necessary.
- Complete delivery paperwork accurately and maintain delivery records.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as checking fluid levels and tire pressure, to ensure the safe operation of delivery vehicles.
- Adhere to all traffic and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role preferred.
- Knowledge of local roads and neighborhoods.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and perform physical tasks in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to perform minor vehicle maintenance tasks.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
