What You’ll Do

As a Service Manager, you’ll take the reins of the Service Department to ensure operations run smoothly, customers are delighted, and team members thrive. Here’s how you’ll make a difference:

Lead and Manage the Team:

Schedule and assign tasks to employees based on their skills and expertise.

Manage recruiting, staffing, and employee development to build a top-notch team.

Conduct performance reviews and create training opportunities to help team members grow.

Drive Service Excellence:

Communicate, enforce, and monitor service processes to ensure top-tier customer satisfaction.

Review work orders for accuracy and completeness before customer billing.

Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles to ensure they’re in excellent working order.

Boost Sales and Marketing:

Monitor monthly service sales and ensure achievement of sales goals.

Participate in the development and execution of the Corporate Service Marketing Plan.

Coordinate customer clinics, field days, and other promotional events to build customer relationships.

Focus on Profitability and Efficiency:

Maintain disciplined expense control while driving profitable service labor sales.

Analyze internal reports to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

What You’ll Bring

Experience:

3+ years in Service Department operations, with a proven track record of success.

Skills:

Strong written and verbal communication skills for engaging with individuals and groups.

Ability to analyze data and interpret reports to drive decision-making.

Excellent customer service skills to ensure both internal and external clients are satisfied.

Knowledge:

Familiarity with John Deere products and competitive equipment is highly preferred.

Proficiency with standard desktop applications like Microsoft Office and internet tools.

Attributes:

Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends as needed.

A passion for fostering a collaborative, high-performance team environment.

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent experience is required.
